| One of the most important periods of our life is the period of studyingat school. It's actually a whole epoch for schoolchildren: they getmajor knowledge about outside world, obtain certain skills and get theexperience of living in the society. It's here, at school we learn tobehave according to the situation and to cope with difficulties. Webegin our school study at the age of 7 and at the age of 17 we finishit. When at school we have our lessons 5 days a week. The classes startat 8.30 a. m. (as I live not far from my school, so I have no excuse tobe late for classes) and at 3 p. m. the lessons are over. | Один из наиболее важных периодов нашей жизни — период обучения в школе.Это действительно целая эпоха для школьников: они получают основныепредставления о внешнем мире, приобретают определенные навыки и опыт привзаимодействии с обществом. Учебная неделя длится пять дней. Занятия начинаются в 8.30 утра (атак как я живу недалеко от школы, то мне опаздывать на занятиянепростительно) и заканчиваются в 15.00. |
| Our school has got three floors. On the ground floor there is acloakroom, a dining room and a library. The library is well-stocked withbooks from the reading list of recommended books for pupils. Oppositethe library there is a school canteen where pupils can have a biteduring the breaks. Our classrooms are on the first and second floors. Most of theclassrooms are very much alike. They are all light, airy, withflowerpots on the window-sills, with portraits of outstanding people onthe walls and with charts and maps near the blackboard. | Наша школа трехэтажная. | Nevertheless there are many specialized rooms for studying differentsubjects. Chemistry, Physics and Biology are taught in well equippedscience rooms. They have cinema and slide projectors, TV-sets. There arealso schemes and tables on the walls. A special room for computerstudying is equipped with computers. There are specialized linguisticlaboratories with tape recorders for studying foreign languages.Besides, pupils have lessons in workshops, having practice in variouscrafts. | Тем не менее, есть много специализированных кабинетов для изученияразных предметов. | We have our classes of physical training in either our gymnasium or onthe sport ground, situated behind the school building. On the firstfloor there is an assembly hall where parties meetings are held. As we become older, we realize that there are some essential things andplaces you always long to come back to. They are certainly yourbirthplace, your home and the school you went to. We shall always beindebted to our teachers for the rest of our lives. Hard as it is, the school life is very interesting. Most of the lessonsare instructive, and I must confess that school years are unforgettable. | Уроки физкультуры проводятся у нас или в спортзале, или наспортплощадке, расположенной за зданием школы.
