Five little pumpkins."

Five little pumpkins
Sitting on a gate
The first one said,
"My it's getting late!"
The second one said,
"There are witches in the air!"
The third one said,
"Good folk, beware!"
The fourth one said,
"We'll run and run!"
The fifth one said,
"Let's have some fun!"
"WOOOOOOOH", went the wind,
And OUT went the light;
And the five little pumpkins
Rolled out of sight!

Treat" by Jack Prelutsky

Trick or treat, trick or treat,
Give us something good to eat.
Give us candy, give us cake,
Give us something sweet to take.
Give us cookies, fruit and gum,
Hurry up and give us some.
You had better do it quick
Or we'll surely play a trick.
Trick or treat, trick or treat,
Give us something good to eat.

It's Halloween" by Jack Prelutsky

its halloween.jpgIt's Halloween! It's Halloween!
The moon is full and bright
And we shall see what can't be seen
On any other night:
Skeletons and ghosts and ghouls,
Grinning goblins fighting duels,
Werewolves rising from their tombs,
Witches on their magic brooms.
In masks and gouns we haunt the street
And knock on doors for trick or treat.
Tonight we are the king and queen,
For oh tonight it's Halloween!

Halloween Song"

I was a monster the other night
And I gave everyone such a fright
It was the scariest Halloween
I've ever seen

I saw a fairy princess
In a wig and silver dress
It was the scariest Halloween
I've ever seen

There were orange pumpkins and vampire bats
There were lots of witches wearing big black hats
I saw a clown juggling and a mummy shuffling
It was the scariest Halloween I've ever seen

There were little devils dancing up and down
There were hairy spiders crawling on the ground
It was the scariest Halloween I've ever seen
It was the scariest Halloween I've ever seen

Halloween Chants"

“Welcome! Welcome! Halloween night!”

The witches fly"

The witches fly
Across the sky,
The owls go, "Who? Who? Who?"
The black cats yowl
And green ghosts howl,
"Scary Halloween to you!"

Tonight is the night"

Tonight is the night
When dead leaves fly
Like witches on switches
Across the sky,
When elf and sprite
Flit through the night
On a moony sheen.

Tonight is the night
When leaves make a sound
Like a gnome in his home
Under the ground,
When spooks and trolls
Creep out of holes
Mossy and green.

Tonight is the night
When pumpkins stare
Through sheaves and leaves
Everywhere,
When ghouls and ghost
And goblin host
Dance round their queen.
It's Halloween.

The Critter Got Away"

Who's been messing up the oats?"
Yelled a Farmer cussing oaths.
Saw a Goblin, tried to lob him!
But the critter got away.

"Who's been pulling up the corn"
Yelled a Farmer one fine morn
Saw a Boggart, almost got it!
But the critter got away.

Yelled the Farmer, "What's the use?
Critters ruin what I produce.
Goblin, Boggart, I have had it!"
And the Farmer went away.

The Dragon"

A dragon's always looking for something to munch.
If you don't watch out, you may be his lunch.

I Will Catch a Giant"

By the toe, by the toe!
I will catch a giant
By the toe! Roar! Roar!

I will catch a troll
By the nose, by the nose!
I will catch a troll
By the nose! Eaarh! Eaarh!

I will catch an elf
By the ear, by the ear!
I will catch an elf
By the ear! Squeek! Squeek!

And it goes (silence)
And it goes (silence).
