Imagine you have decided to take your item back to the place whereyou bought it. One of you is the customer and the other is the managerof the store. These two structures can be used to make suggestions and raisepossibilities. They can be used with a verb in the present or the past. Averb in the present makes the suggestion sound more certain.

Rewrite the following suggestions using the word or phrase given. Use a verb in the past tense.
